Creating Smiles One Fish at a Time

In 2007, a group of friends, family and fellow fisherman came together to self-sponsor a fishing derby event for children without outdoor recreational opportunities. The first annual fishing derby was held with an excited group of volunteers not knowing how their lives would be changed with this opportunity. The kids arrived with their sponsors and the fun did not stop until the last child left. We knew at that moment that HE had a plan for us and we needed to continue helping kids find the spirit and exhilaration of the great outdoors. Since the first the event, we have expanded to include other sponsored groups including: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Racine Parks and Recreation, Children’s Outing Association (COA), and City On A Hill (Milwaukee).
